Sahel Summer Menu — Coral Beach Club
Coral Beach Club, North Coast · Menu Photography & Styling
Coral Beach Club opens a new beachside venue every Sahel season and asked Magy Studios to build a forty-six dish photographic menu in five shoot days. The brand wanted images that felt unmistakably coastal — warm sea light, salt-bleached linens, citrus skins on stone — without leaning on tired flatlay clichés.
The deliverables had to serve three channels: a printed dinner menu, the digital QR menu used at the table, and a paid social campaign launching across the May long weekend. Each image therefore needed to read at a five-inch printed size, on a phone in direct sunlight, and as a fifteen-second story crop.
Lead times were tight. The kitchen finalised the menu two weeks before opening; we had three production days, then five shoot days at the venue itself, finishing seventy-two hours before guests arrived.
We pre-built the entire shot list against the menu pricing tiers so the most-ordered dishes received the most cinematic treatment. The signature whole grilled grouper became the hero — shot on a single ceramic platter on bleached driftwood, three-quarter angle, late afternoon backlight diffused through a 6x6 silk.
Salads, mezze and sides were grouped into two daily blocks so we could rotate three sets of linens, ceramics and fresh garnish without losing momentum. We styled all dressings on-shoot and never pre-saucing — a small insistence that gives every image a live, just-served quality.
Final retouching kept skin-on tomatoes, char marks and herb imperfections intact. The brand specifically asked us to not retouch the labneh — they wanted the cracks. We obliged.
